LJT & Associates, Inc. provides a wide range of engineering and other support services to the U.S. Government and International customers. We are a diverse business with expertise in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of a variety of engineering and hardware integration solutions as well as operations and maintenance support for both launch ranges and space communications tracking and network systems and base operating support. We are seeking a qualified Planner/Scheduler, Level II to support our Range Operations Contract at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island VA.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Perform, plan, and schedule a resource or resources for an element (e.g., mission, project, site, element, network, system, GN orbital scheduling)
  • Must be capable of identifying all resources, and understand their function and capabilities
  • Receive requests for the element resources, schedule the requests using existing tools and methods, identify conflicts, and perform conflict resolution and negotiation in a manner to optimize resource usage
  • Ensure that all requesters and entities (people and systems) which manage, support, or utilize the resource(s) are notified of the schedule for use. React to changes to the schedule
  • May evolve to being able to analyze new requests or resources as well as new ways of using existing resources
  • May be involved in the testing of these resources
  • Participate in procedure development beginning with review for clarity and evolving to technical critique and actual writing
  • May be required to participate in metric gathering on the planning and scheduling processes beginning with recording data and evolving to defining and tracking metrics and determining long range planning and scheduling strategy
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS degree in related field plus 2-5 years of experience, a minimum of which 2 years is in mission service scheduling functions and project management
  • In lieu of formal education, 12 years of related experience may be substituted
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
