LJT & Associates, Inc. provides a wide range of engineering and other support services to the U.S. Government and International customers.  We currently specialize in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of a variety of engineering, facilities and hardware integration solutions. The company has experienced growth and seeks qualified candidates in the Columbia, MD location to support continued growth in all of our business sectors.

 

Overview: This position will partner with the Human Resources Department, contract staff, and corporate functions to provide support in the areas of identifying, attracting, and hiring talent into LJT & Associates, Inc.  In addition, this position will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department to include assisting with new hires, terminations, benefits, compliance reporting, and other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, attract, and recruit experienced professionals for roles in a variety of sectors. 
  • Manage sourcing strategy, candidate development and execution of full life cycle recruitment.
  • Recommend recruitment strategies and best practices based on expertise, knowledge and/or experience.
  • Actively manage candidate development and experience, as well as actively participate in the interview and selection process.
  • Lead offer preparation with candidates.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in a competitive market for talent.
  • Participate in recruiting and talent management related and additional HR projects/initiatives. 
  • Ensures all requisition/candidate activity data is captured in the applicant tracking system.
    • Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintains contact in person, and by phone or mail, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
    • Responsible for direct contact, oversight and liaison with the payroll provider (ADP) as to benefit set-up, open enrollment, payroll processing and file feeds.
    • Provides oversight and administration of HRIS systems
    • Maintains hard and soft copy files; uploading and maintaining documents in company intranet.
    • Responsible for HR data entry, filing (paper and electronic) maintaining current and former employee records.
    • Provides back up to HR Director as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • (1-3) Years’ experience in general office environment, recruiting experience preferred.

Other Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Experience with Federal Government Contracting/Union agreements preferred IT strengths a must;
• Experience with companies with multiple geographic locations
• Experience working with an ADP HR/Payroll System and LinkedIn
• Experience with large scale employee enrollments in benefit
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel is required
• Knowledge of Human Resources processes preferred
• Strong professional verbal and written communication required
