We are a large business with expertise in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of a variety of engineering and hardware integration solutions. We are seeking candidates to support our customer at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility on the Range Operations Contract.


The Information Technology Specialist, Level 2, performs all support activities associated with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of operational IT systems across NASA's Wallops Range.

Duties & Responsibilities





• Assists with the management and mitigations to reduce IT security risks to all Corporate and Range IT services

• Supports and assists with the WFF COMSEC account for the NASA COMSEC Office of Records (COR) • Provides assistance and support to other range system administrators to secure Range IT services

• Assists in the development of IT security processes and procedures

• Provides COMSEC services to the Range and all projects requiring COMSEC services at Wallops Flight Facility (WFF)

• Supports audits and produces reports necessary to maintain the WFF COMSEC office IAW the policies and guidelines set forth by the NASA COMSEC Office of Records (COR) and the NSA

• Supports activities associated with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and security

• Participates in IT Security audits to ensure compliance with established IT Security policy and Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements

• Provides support for the operation and maintenance of existing systems and infrastructure, system administration, research and design of new or replacement systems, evaluation of the current state of IT and communication systems

• Documents changes to system/network configurations

• Updates documentation when operating procedures or functionality changes

• Communicates the status of resolution of any known system or network issues to the user community with timely updates

• Ability to work with and implement Agency and Center inactivates such as the Continuous Monitoring and Diagnostics (CDM) tools (BigFix, ForeScout, Splunk, and RES)  Requires a thorough understanding of operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux), networks, and enterprise IT services (Active directory, domain name service, and firewall structure)

• May be required to travel up to 25% to support Range activities


• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related technical field is required and 3-7 years related experience including experience in coordinating and directing the work of peers

• Masters degree in a technical field may substitute for three years of experience

• AA degree may substitute for 2 years of experience

• In lieu of a formal education, 8 years experience may be substituted
