    Duties & Responsibilities

    -Manages System Administration functions for the MUOS network 24/7 at all four MUOS ground stations.

    -Ensures the balance of workload to a team of Systems Administrators, managing the daily (24/7) care of equipment located in multiple geographically separated locations.

    -Ensures all work is performed IAW Standard Operating Procedures and the MUOS IETM 100% of the time

    -Manages network and server administration; software administration, database maintenance, installation and replacement of expired or revoked application certificates, system account and password management.

    -Manages on-site systems administration support for the GCCS systems through proper system administration and system monitoring and, ensures the GCCS systems are available and operating efficiently.

    -Ensures work performed as specified 98.9% of the time.

    -Provides or assists with installation configuration and configuration of GCCS servers and clients in Hawaii and at supported sites.

    -Proposes and evaluates COTS products or unique solutions (scripts, business practice re- engineering) to streamline system administration

    -Provides basic system administration training to remote site personnel.



    -Bachelor’s Degree or Security+ (GSEC, and SSCP) or higher level IAW DoD 8140.1

    -PWS Requirements: Possess relevant experience in managing a team of system administrators responsible for a server farm, local area network, and a large scale network which includes both local and remote equipment administration responsibilities

    -10 years of related experience
