We are a diverse business with expertise in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of a variety of engineering and hardware integration solutions as well as operations and maintenance support for both launch ranges and space communications tracking and network systems and base operating support. We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer, Level I with Telemetry expertise to support our Range Operations Contract at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island VA.



    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provides sustaining engineering services for the Wallops telemetry systems under the ROC contract.
    • Develops sustaining plans for the life cycle of the Wallops telemetry systems, identifies obsolescence issues provides, recommendations for corrective actions, details cost and schedule to implement approved changes, writes statements of work (SOW) for external vendors to provide engineering or other disciplines necessary to implement the change that may be beyond his capability to implement with existing staff and resources.
    •  Develops a project plan and using project management institute processes manage the project to closure.
    •  Proposes solutions to complex obsolescence and sustaining problems
    •  Performs trade studies, submitting white papers
    •  Prepares engineering requirements, designs, drawings, and FMEA.
    •   Analyzes corrective maintenance actions and recommends changes to the preventative maintenance processes to improve system reliability
    •  Develops presentations and briefs LJT and NASA management when required
    •   Implements approved solutions as part of a comprehensive sustaining activity for the telemetry systems.
    •  Monitors telemetry performance by working with the NASA telemetry engineer to analyze telemetry tracking results as part of the telemetry calibration program ensuring corrective values are entered into each telemetry system.
    •  Works closely with operations staff to implement approved modification to telemetry systems.
    •  Works with the LJT telemetry supervisor, operations manager, asset planner, and maintenance manager to prioritize sustainment requirements by system for planning scheduling and costing. Identifies long lead time repair actions and challenges, categorizes risks and develops project support plans for extensive telemetry activities.
    • Develops and reviews performance tests and data ensuring integration of telemetry systems into the mission support architecture.
    • Provides subject matter expertise associated with mobile range deployment telemetry activities and may be required to travel in support of missions at remote locations







    • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Experience in the analysis, design and development of electrical and electronic systems including hands-on work in the test and integration of Ground Data Systems is desired
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
    • Must be U.S. Citizen
