    Duties & Responsibilities

    The Human Resources department is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the position. The Labor Relations Specialist will address, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, union issues, grievances, arbitrations and unfair labor practices. In addition, this role requires day to day consulting, mediation, facilitation and guidance regarding collective bargaining unit employment and labor issues, including but not limited to:


    • Grievance resolution
    • Managing collective bargaining agreement negotiations preparation and execution
    • Settlements and other labor/employee relations functions
    • Assisting in the administration of the bargaining unit grievance process
    • Serving as member of management negotiating team and responsible for significant preparation for the bargaining process.
    • Maintaining union related records and files.
    • Responsible for maintaining satisfactory labor-management relations between management and union
    • Administration of the collective bargaining agreements
    • Dispute resolution
    • Investigating and evaluation of complaints and training of managers and supervisors on topics related to labor relations.








    Education: BS/BA or equivalent in related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands on experience in the area of labor relations, including negotiations, CBA administration, settlements, grievance handling and investigation



    Other Knowledge Skills & Abilities

    Knowledge in areas of collaborative bargaining, alternative dispute resolutions, CBA administration, grievance, arbitration and knowledge of similar labor laws. Strong investigative skills. Demonstrated track record of creative leadership in the development and articulation of labor policy and strategy. Effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of employees.
